Latch tongue may break in crash allowing child to slip out. Replacement harness kits can be identified by the letter "K" after the part number stamped on metal latch tongue. Destroy!

Instruction booklets may not advise owners when to switch shield from rear (inner-most) to forward (outer-most) latching positions. Failure to switch to forward latching position for a child weighing 30 pounds or more may result in difficult latch release after crash. Destroy!
